Do you ever feel like routine is taking over your life? Has it been too long since you felt the spark and the sheer joy of doing something you love? Would you like to experience a bit more excitement and joy, or perhaps more flow?
Flow is the experience of total enjoyment as you lose yourself in active pursuit of a worthwhile and difficult goal.
If we wish to feel happier and more satisfied in life, flow is a great state to aim for, because it combines an experience of positive emotion in the moment and a sense of meaning in activities that we are doing.
For many of us, the biggest challenge in life is getting ahead while still enjoying the ride. Too often life, work and responsibility are weighing us down and we lose track of what makes us come most alive. When we do go looking for more meaning and enjoyment, we feel insecure or guilty, like we are not doing what we “should”.
But through flow, we can bring it all together – still focusing on getting the work done and on doing meaningful things, yet at the same time enjoying the process, feeling immersed and joyful, and continuing to learn and grow.
It is a highly motivating state, in which we are most prone to learn, which also makes us improve and work on our goals – without the need to engage our willpower.
In this workshop, you will
– understand how flow happens for you
– build a clear understanding of what pre-conditions and triggers lead to more flow
– explore characteristics of flow in a practical way and learn how to apply them
– discover what your own style of flow is
practice and get ideas on how to get more present in the moment
– get ideas and techniques to get more flow in your own life
learn what internal and external shifts you can make in order to start experiencing high levels of flow more often
– reflect on activities and situations and how to apply “flow hacks” to those in order to make them more supportive of a flow experience
– learn about basics of brain chemistry involved in flow and happiness – and how to use it
The content and tools will be based on positive psychology research, flow hacks, neuroscience, best practices and personal stories. It will be evidence based, real-world tested and built on proven methods tested on a broad audience, from athletes to business(wo)men, from CEOs to students. It will be practical, experimental and experiential.
If that sounds appealing – do not miss the chance to join this workshop!
