Trees for Amsterdam
What if we think of Amsterdam as one big forest? Imagine opening your door and walking straight into nature. How chill is that? We want to turn Amsterdam into an urban forest. In 2024, ‘De Gezonde Stad’ is going to hand out 7500 trees. And you can help! Put one of our trees in your garden or on your balcony. Together we will plant a whole new forest in the middle of the city.
How it works
The Healthy City is donating a total of 7,500 trees to the city and we need your help to give them a nice spot. Find a suitable private area, for example your garden or allotment, a schoolyard, or first in a pot on your balcony.
Choose your tree, tell us the location where you will plant the tree, and come pick up the tree on November 2 at the Ceuvel!
No worries: the tree is still small enough now to easily take with you on your bike, public transport or on foot.

DONATE
Amsterdam is getting more crowded, hotter and busier, and trees help keep the city healthy. That’s why we’ll be planting trees again this year.
