DAAN SANDERS QUARTET
Where Jazz, Fusion and Classical come together: the Amsterdam-based Daan Sanders Quartet subtly plays with grooves, swing and crescendos. After living in Berlin for six months, pianist, composer and bandleader Daan Sanders returned to Amsterdam in March 2022, where he recorded a new EP, “The Berlin Sessions,” with the quartet. Influenced by Berlin’s hip Jazz sound, Daan and band members set an atmosphere reminiscent of Brad Mehldau’s sultry pop covers and Kurt Rosenwinkel’s rugged playfulness. “The Berlin Sessions” will be released on Nov. 17, 2022.
