Workshop `Meeting permaculture`

More and more people want to garden in a more natural way, whether you have a large vegetable garden, or just some pots on your balcony. The permaculture method offers a great starting point to work with nature instead of against it. The goal of permaculture is to create a system with the resilience of a natural ecosystem, usually with food production as the main goal.

In this workshop you will learn how to apply principles from permaculture in your own garden, balcony and life. Because we use many different forms of work, you will learn a lot both practically and theoretically and be encouraged to do it yourself. Among other things, we will learn about the ethical and practical principles underlying permaculture, the importance of biodiversity, systems thinking and how to observe nature and then learn from it.

You will leave with a good idea of exactly what permaculture is and practical tools to get started with it yourself.

Come and discover, soil is the basis of all growth!

In this workshop we will give you an overview of different reasons for combination growing and which plants combine well then. In addition, you will learn about different ways of combining plants such as polyculture, apparent chaos and ABC growing. We hope to inspire you with new ideas for your own vegetable garden (or balcony).

Workshop `Create your own growing plan`.

Thursday January 31st
19.30 – 21.30 hours

Winter is a time of rest for the gardener, after all, the garden is in hibernation. It is also the ideal time to make plans for the upcoming season.

In a good cultivation plan, you know exactly when to sow and plant what. No matter how big your vegetable garden is, a cultivation plan ensures that you sow and plant at the right time, keep an overview of everything that needs to be done and make optimal use of the growing season. In other words: a good cultivation plan is half the work!

During the workshop you will work step by step towards your own (start of a ) growing plan for next season. You will learn how to take into account the sowing, planting and harvesting times of different crops and varieties, how to plan several crops in a row, and you will learn an easy method to keep an overview.
