ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Vals Alarm!
Two years after their first explosive rise, VALS ALARM has become an unmistakable presence in the alternative music scene. The band’s summers have been packed with high-energy shows at festivals like Best Kept Secret, MadNes, and Wildeburg, as well as a spot as the opening act for Goldband in a sold-out Ziggo Dome. Now, the band is choosing a slightly more mysterious direction: less visibility, more focus on… new music?
VALS ALARM proves that rules don’t matter—diverse tracks like “BORING,” “LOSER,” “FAST BIKES,” “NEW BOYS,” “I SAY,” and “WHO ARE YOU?” have grown into crowd favorites. They even took a brief detour toward the country side, but that chapter is now behind them. And what comes next is anything but predictable!
Johnny and the Spacemachine
Johnny and the Spacemachine blends afro-groove, funk and rock ‘n roll into a musical space journey. Funky basslines, smooth grooves, sparkling horns and playful lyrics about their adventures as a band, flash delivery drivers, overconsumption, escapism in the club and the thin line between reality and madness.
Live, they take the audience along in their energy: from thematic listening songs to an exuberant dance party. In the fall of 2023, Johnny and the Spacemachine was a finalist of the Amsterdam Pop Prize. They have previously played at various venues and festivals in and around Amsterdam: Paradiso, Melkweg, Cinetol, Funked Up Festival, Mezrab, Singelfestival, Bredewegfestival, P60, Rollende Keukens, De Nieuwe Anita, and Over de Top Festival. Since 2022, the band has toured European streets, music cafés, and local festivals during the summer. In December 2025, Johnny and the Spacemachine released a new EP: Mad Views White Lines.
STEFNITZ & MAYAPAPAYA & SJEF ROULÉ
METABOLIC LAB – 12:00 – 03:00
This New Year, Stefnitz & Mayapapaya, together with none other than Sjef Roulé, turned up the heat at De Ceuvel. Forget genres, forget rules — this night is all about a sultry mix of eclectic electronics, cumbia, dancehall, jazz, samba and anything that gets hips moving. Their back-to-back sets are musical ping-pong full of humor, sexy twists and just enough chaos to keep it wild.
Usually booked as a duo, but especially for us they go one step further: together with none other than Sjef Roulé.
Sjef is an experienced world traveler, DJ and producer, and one half of the tropical duo UMOJA, with whom he has toured across Europe and Africa. With a curious mind and deep love for global sounds, he collects rare gems from all corners of the world and weaves them into a dancefloor-melting mosaic like no other. Together, the three build a night full of sweat and rhythms that carry you straight into the new year.

THE SHAGGY GREYS
The Shaggy Greys combine an energetic mix of folk, rock, reggae with a touch of soul and plenty of groove. Their journey began six years ago as the dynamic The Shaggy Greys. The formation is constantly evolving and currently consists of Dean Medina (vocals, guitar), Massimo Imperatore (guitar), Bram van Langen (bass guitar) and Kasparas Petkus (drums). They play on rooftops, giant cargo bikes, in hotel hallways, on big and small stages — with as a highlight the legendary Beats on a Boat stage, where they entertained thousands of guests from all over the world during hundreds of concerts over the years!

ROSWITHA B2B
This King’s Night, Roswitha invites four friends who share her deep love for music. Together they take over the M-Lab at De Ceuvel! Over the past years, they have played in many different formations: at parties, festivals, radio shows and endless nights filled with b2b2b2b2b sets. Now it’s time to join forces in a night where their sounds merge.
Jeepee // Funky grooves with dirty vocals and acid influences.
Doris Fiore // Soulful, rhythmic deep house with a grounded, sensual sound
@doris.fiore :
Isaac Highstreet // Deep house with hip-hop and soul roots: dreamy pads, rolling basslines and a dubby garage attitude
Carmen Music // Funky minimal grooves, dub rhythms and warm basslines.
@__carmen.music__ :
Roswitha // A spectrum from minimal house to techno and everything in between: driving rhythms and hi-hats that hit just above your hips.

AMBER HUNTERS
Amber Hunters is an energetic funk band that blends the raw funk/fusion sounds of the 1970s with modern grooves. Tight rhythms, powerful riffs, and horn lines form the foundation, while leaving room for jazz influences and improvisation.
The band was formed in 2021 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and has since performed nationally and internationally with musicians such as Yoràn Vroom, Bart Fermie, Justs Sirmais, and Karl Frierson. In 2022, Amber Hunters released their first single, “New Wheels,” followed by “Hyacinthia” in 2023 via the Amsterdam-based label Wicked Wax. Their debut album is scheduled for 2026.
Lineup:
Kasparas Petkus – drums
Manuel Vega Abad – percussion
Richard Nacinelli – bass
Sebastian Visser – guitar
Willy Bacuwe – trombone

ROLODEX
“Unapologetically individual” is a term that perfectly describes the Amsterdam-based band Rolodex. The band combines influences from various genres, such as psychedelic rock, post-punk, Latin, and funk, to create something that is entirely their own. Soaring synthesizers, driving guitars, tightly grooving drums, and catchy melodies give Rolodex a distinctive, danceable sound.
