What does the world you want to live in look like? How do you envision your neighbourhoods, and how do you want to connect with the people who share these spaces with you? The rapid transformation of Amsterdam, along with its social and alternative spaces, highlights the importance of active participation more than ever. But where do we start? Join us on a time-travel journey to the future city of your wildest dreams—because the first step to achieving these dreams is to imagine them.
In this creative workshop, we’ll become architects and city planners, designing and visualising our utopia using unique, beautiful materials rescued from architecture offices across the city. Throughout this communal creative process, we’ll inspire and empower one another to dream beyond the limits imposed on us and explore practical ways to turn these “utopian” visions into reality. Together, we’ll craft, glue, paint, and—most importantly—engage in meaningful conversations.
Because a utopia can only be realized together.

In this course, over six evenings, you will go from ideal to action. Together with a group of (beginning) idealists, you’ll pause to reflect: What is important to me, what moves me, why?
Then, you’ll explore your possibilities: What do I want to be involved in? What is my strength? What am I interested in, and what is achievable?
Next, you’ll experiment and gain experience with your ideal. Whether you want to become a volunteer, a social entrepreneur, or change careers: this course will help you figure it out. We guarantee you will start implementing your ideal during the course.
At the end of the course, you will know what your ideal is and how you can contribute to it using your talents and opportunities. In fact, you will have already started!

Discover the secret to effortless gardening with Wicking Beds!
Imagine a garden that waters itself! With wicking beds, you can grow your favourite plants—tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, peppers, and more—without the constant hassle of watering. This ingenious self-watering system ensures your plants only take the water they need, while you relax and enjoy the results.
A wicking bed is an excellent choice for anyone looking to simplify their gardening routine. With this simple setup, you will minimize the time you have to water your plants, which is ideal for busy schedules or extended vacations. Whether you have a backyard, a balcony, or a greenhouse, a wicking bed can fit perfectly into any available space. Best of all, it's easy to build using affordable materials that you can find at your local hardware store.
We’ve been growing with wicking beds in our greenhouse for over 4 years, and they’ve become one of our most trusted and productive methods. This workshop is for you if you struggle with keeping up with watering, you want to grow healthy, thriving plants with minimal effort, and you’re curious about sustainable, efficient gardening techniques.

We recommend securing it with tape or rope for safe travel. A backpack will suffice for carrying the remaining materials. You are welcome to attend the workshop even if you choose not to purchase the materials kit. You will still gain valuable knowledge about wicking bed principles and be able to apply them using your preferred materials independently.

For everyone who feels stuck, sleeps poorly, feels alone, feels they never do things right, or whose mind keeps racing. Imagine learning how to deal with this differently in 8 weeks!
Good news: that is possible. And it's easy to learn step by step. Mindfulness has been helping thousands of people who are in the same situation for decades. You might think it's not for you. That it's too 'airy-fairy' or something like that. But that's just an image, and how it's sometimes presented. It actually gives you very practical ways to deal with a busy life in a healthy way. Mindfulness isn't something you only do while 'sitting' on a cushion or on a yoga mat. It’s something you mostly apply in your everyday life. That’s what I focus on in the training: helping you create more space in your life, find calm in your mind, know what you want, and enjoy what is there.
But I can tell you that, it's better to experience it yourself. I offer the training flexibly and in small groups. Very clear, down-to-earth, and practical. With different types of exercises so you can try what suits you. Short or long, indoors or outdoors. With extra focus on applied exercises for your daily life.
Also good to know: if you have supplementary health insurance, this training is often largely reimbursed by your insurance! I meet all the requirements for that.

Eleven years ago, we built De Ceuvel together: a sustainable oasis where we enhance biodiversity and community spirit. This spring, we are taking a new step: we are working on our purifying park and renovating the walking pier over the grounds. Join us and help build De Ceuvel!
Goal | A park that attracts more animals, an inspiring work area, and an accessible walking route. But above all: a very enjoyable day with people who inspire each other, have fun, enjoy being outdoors, and make something beautiful together.
We will, of course, also roll up our sleeves. Lunch will be provided for the hard workers, and there will be socializing at the end of the day. This way, we can celebrate what we've accomplished together.
Practical | The activities are outside, so wear sturdy shoes and clothes for the tasks. Walk through the gate, we will begin at the central square in front of the Café.
